Website Terms and Conditions of Use
This website is intended to be an open resource, dedicated to Birmingham's climbing community.
News, editorial and blog content published on this website is held by us to be factual at the time of going to press. Errors and omissions will be corrected where practical. However, no warranty is offered or implied as to the accuracy or veracity of any information presented on this website, and no liabiity is assumed by Redpoint Climbing Centre for any losses, either direct or indirect, that might be incurred by means of the use of this content.
The Publishers and Editors of this website reserve the right to edit or remove content at no notice.
The Comments System
Anyone is welcome to use this site, and is welcome to express their opinion upon it. Please note, however, that Redpoint Climbing Centre reserves the right to remove comments that express or promote fundamentally il-liberal or anti-social views, and to remove comments that are posted purely as advertising or promotion for any other organisation.
However, rules do apply. The Publishers and Editors of this website cannot and will not be held responsible for the opinions expressed in any Comment that is posted to this website, or the form of words that such expression might take.
While the Content Moderator for this site will assess any objections to user-created content as quickly as is pratically possible, and take any corrective measures with all due expediency, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore in using this site visitors must acknowledge that all Comments posted to this site express the views and opinions of the author and not the Publishers, Administrators, Moderators or Webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
Using the "Comments" facility, visitors may not:
- Post messages containing language that is likely to cause offense
- Post messages containing strong sexual content
- Post messages that are deliberately false or misleading
- Post messages that are intended to incite hatred, aggression or violence
- Post messages that break the Law
If you see a post that you find objectionable, please take these steps:
- Ensure that the post is in breach of the Terms and Conditions as listed above
- Report the post to a Content Moderator via the "alert a moderator" link that is present at the foot of each post
Content Moderators respond as quickly as possible to all content alerts. Posts that breach the Terms and Conditions will be restricted (See Restricted Posts below). Restricted posts cannot be viewed by the general public except by special request. A Content Moderator will inform you as to the decision taken over your objection, and the resulting action taken. It is possible that the post will be judged to be within Terms, and therefore no action might be taken. The Content Moderator's decision in such matters is final.
If a Comment posted to this website is judged to have breached the Terms and Conditions of Use, it will be restricted by the Content Moderator. It is possible to view restricted material by sending a Restricted Content Release request. In doing so, you certify that you are:
- Of 18 years of age or older
- Aware that the content of the restricted material may shock or offend
Upon receipt of a confirmation of your email address, the content of the restricted Comment will be emailed to you.
