Redpoint Climbing Centre
77 Cecil Street
Birmingham B19 3ST

Location Announced!

We've been having lots of requests for information about the exact location of the centre and although we have been keeping this a secret while the building work is still ongoing, we are now releasing details of where we are. HOWEVER, please don't visit us till we have finished the construction! Its not that we wouldn't love to see you and show you around, but for Health & Safety reasons we need to keep visitors to a minimum. You can follow the progress of the building work on our Construction Blogs

You can download maps of the location here

You can see how close we are to all the major roads into the city centre as well as Snow Hill station, the Metro line and other public transport. There's even a nearby canal towpath for cyclists who prefer the scenic route!

Cool, glad I know where you are now. Do you know roughly when you'll be opening up. Looking forward to seeing the place once it's open. Keep up the great work, it's nice to see you're using the site effectively, to notify us of updates to.

Would have to agree. This project all sounds very nice but the pictures shown so far have not been too inspiring. Considering this project has been so hyped for such a long time I would have thought that regular progress reports and photos of some of the finished walls would of be being essential on-line viewing. Not wishing to sound negative, keep up the hard work guys it will be worth it in the end. Brummy gets two good centres when it's finished.

Good point! We've been deliberately keeping the designs under wraps but now that the walls are getting finished we'll try to keep posting more inspiring photos for you.

Yes indeed! Its good for buses, trains, the metro, lots of free parking evenings and weekends, secure bike park inside, canal round the corner and 600m from the helicopter pad at the end of Corporation St!

I've wondered past the front door a couple of times on route to Aston - nice location! Got a few Q's though...

Will the cafe be liscenced - I only ask cos I've not as yet found anything as soothing on the hands as a grip of a cool pintorbottle of beerorciderorlager after a session - either that or any local recomendations?

Also, just read about the bike park - do I read that as in somewhere to leave cycle whilst climbing or somewhere to play on bike instead of climbing ( hoping for former )

V excited though - looking foward to it - it'll be great to have somewhere else to go near the centre!

Glad you like the location.
You'll be glad to know that the bike park is for parking bikes - we're dedicating the rest of the space to climbing!
As for the post-climbing pint - the cafe won't be licensed but there are quite a few places not far from our door that are :)
